Norway – Fjords, Ferries, and Epic Mountain Passes: The Arctic Wonderland

The Magical Island World of the Lofoten: Dramatic Peaks and White Beaches in Reine

Majestic cliffs rising vertically from the icy-cold Atlantic and deep-red fishermen’s huts: We drive right across the Arctic Circle into the postcard-perfect scenery of the Lofoten Islands, where we breathe in the salty sea air in Reine.

By ferry to Bodø and south to Lom: Sailing the Atlantic and heading inland to Lom

We bid farewell to the Lofoten Islands and take the ferry to Bodø on the mainland. Our camper winds its way south along the spectacular coastal road until we’re welcomed by the historic Jotunheimen Valley in the mountain village of Lom.

Over the highest pass to Bergen and Sand: Driving snowy mountain passes to the western fjords

A driving highlight of our road trip: Our camper battles its way up the snow-covered Sognefjellet Pass to the roof of Norway. From icy heights, we descend into the colorful Hanseatic city of Bergen and continue on to Sand.

An unforgettable view 600 meters straight down: We hike to the world-famous Preikestolen before leaving the spectacular west coast behind and heading for Oslo, Norway’s modern capital.
