Breda, November 26, 2024 🇳🇱
After Delft, we head to Breda, where we make a stopover on our way to Tilburg. Breda is also worth a visit. With her trained eye, Adriana spots new photo subjects everywhere, and I usually spot a good spot for a coffee. Luckily, we walk at least 10,000 steps every day, because every city has something delicious (especially sweets…) to try. In the afternoon, we set off for our next stop in the Tilburg area.
Tilburg, November 28, 2024 🇳🇱
In Tilburg, we make a stop and take a city tour. The highlight of the tour is a visit to the “Mindlaps” library, with its stunning architecture housed in an old office building. The weather isn’t exactly cooperating, but we enjoy the city anyway. On our way, we hit another milestone with our Joey… 50,000 km on the odometer—that’s definitely something to celebrate!
Utrecht, November 29, 2024 🇳🇱
This weekend marks our first experience with “Trusted Housesitters,” a global organization we’re giving a try. One person offers their home for use while on vacation, and in return, you’re required—or rather, get to—take care of their pets. Our first “job” is in Utrecht with a nice couple, where we’ll be taking care of their dog, Mumu, for a weekend. Mumu is very sweet, but the walks are turning into a challenge… Mumu is quite strong and pulls on the leash with all his might. Unfazed by our advice, he barks and growls at every dog, tries to catch every bird, and basically chases anything that moves. We enjoy our time there anyway and hand everything back to the owners in perfect order on Monday.
